Our Animal Hospital Welcomes New Patients
On your first visit to Mitchell Mill Animal Hospital, one of our friendly staff members will greet you at the front desk upon your arrival. Bring any medical history you have for your pet when you come to the hospital. If you keep a pet journal documenting past medical issues or behavioral changes, please share this information with our team. If you’re unsure of past medical history, let us know everything that you think will be important. Our veterinarians can still work with whatever information you have.
When your pet is ready to be seen, a technician will take you and your pet to a clean and comfortable exam room. The technician will review your pet’s medical history and take your pet’s vitals, and then a veterinarian will go into more detail about any past history or current problems prior to the physical examination of your pet. The medical history portion of the exam is extremely important as this information helps us understand your companion’s lifestyle and any risk factors, which will determine the preventive health care best suited to his or her needs. Once we learn a few things about you and your pet, the veterinarian will perform a thorough physical examination, communicating any findings to you as they occur so you have plenty of opportunity to ask questions.

Appointment Policy
We recognize that your time is valuable, and we like to give every patient our full and undivided attention. We therefore operate on an appointment basis. While we do accept walk-ins if time allows, please know that clients with appointments are given priority. Emergencies and critically ill pets sometimes require our immediate attention and, occasionally, delays may occur. We ask for your patience in these situations. Please know that we always do our best to see every appointment on time.
Payment Options
1. Unless prior arrangements are made, payment is expected when services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients’ needs, customer service, and minimizing costs, we don’t do any billing. We highly recommend Veterinary Pet Insurance to our clients as well.
2. We accept all major credit cards, Care Credit, and cash.
